The project was to make a design concept of a foldable interactive robot, that could fit in your hand. Click play on the video below to see the animation for how the robot actually works.

I started out with some sketching of different robots and functions. I really liked the evolving and look of the fox, so that was my final choice.

Then I did some simple clay studies to understand the size and how parts should move while folding the robot.

A 3D-model was created and later rendered with the right colors and materials.
